On Friday, Maryland’s governor appointed our attorney, Victor M. Del Pino, as Montgomery County District Court Judge, a 10-year term. He will fill the seat previously occupied by James B. Sarsfield. With the approval of the Senate, Gov. Hogan chose Attorney Del Pino from a list of 15 distinguished legal professionals.
“The appointment of qualified individuals to serve across our state’s justice system is paramount to upholding our responsibilities to the people of Maryland and the rule of law,” said Governor Hogan. “I have confidence that Mr. Titus and Mr. Del Pino will be strong advocates for the law and will serve the citizens of Carroll County and Montgomery County admirably.”
Attorney Del Pino earned his law degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law. Since 2010, he has primarily practiced criminal law, personal injury, and immigration law as a partner at our firm. Before he joined us, he gained significant trial experience during his 5 years as a Montgomery County prosecutor. In that time, he made history as the first Latino appointed by the Montgomery County State’s Attorney office as Chief and head prosecutor of the Gang Prosecution Unit.
In the Circuit Court, Del Pino successfully prosecuted highly publicized cases involving:
- Burglary
- Robbery
- Assault
- Attempted murder
- First-degree murder
Beyond his skills as a litigator, Del Pino is fluent in Spanish and an active member of the community. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Our Lady of Good Counsel High School.
